$100 Laptop now a reality

A Linux-based laptop produced by China’s HiVision has undercut the $100 threshold for laptops. For $98 and employing Linux, it includes a MIPS-based processor, 1GB flash storage, 3 USB ports, Ethernet, an SDHC card reader, WiFi, audio in and out, voice-chat and Firefox browser support.
