Looking For A New And Different Video Editor – GPU Powered Super LoiLoScope Makes HD Video Editing Quick and Easy

I just came across Super LoiLoScope MARS , which is a consumer video editor that the was designed to be easy to use. The company that makes this software claims that it that makes editing high definition (HD) movies accessible for the average consumer. The software takes advantage of the parallel processing capability of NVIDIA’s GeForce CUDA-enabled GPUs.

If you can believe NVIDIA, they claim Super LoiLoScope MARS can create movie files up to 10 times faster than CPU powered encoders. This dramatically lowers the cost of a PC powerful enough to edit high definition content.

According to an NAB release Super LoiLoScope MARS is packed with a list of features that includes;

  • GPU accelerated H.264 encoding
  • Movie output up to 10x faster with NVIDIA CUDA(TM) enabled GPUs
  • Editing & playback of AVCHD HD movies at full HD resolution (1920×1080)
  • Magnet output which enables output of multiple movies at once
  • A simple new interface for saved projects
  • Faster image editing
  • A Search button for original files of thumbnails
  • Support for 9 languages, including: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and simple Chinese.
  • Support for MP4, iPod, PSP, AVCHD, mp4 for Blu-ray, and Youtube HD movie formats

The NAB release credits the software’s unique interface to the Sugiyama brothers, Koji, a brilliant graphic software developer, and Ryutaro, a computer graphic artist, who have years of gaming industry experience at Sega. However the release also mention “two ex-top Japanese game creators” as potential developers as well.
