New high speed camera could suit photography enthusiasts and scientists

Using off-the-shelf technologies found in standard cameras and digital movie projectors, scientists at the University of Oxford have developed a revolutionary way of capturing  high-resolution still image and high-speed video. The work has attracted the attention of science, industry and consumers as well.  The tool will transform detailed imaging and could provide access to high-speed video at up to 250,000 frames a second with high-resolution still images at a price suitable for the consumer market.
