Milling Machines – Are the reverse of 3D printers. They use a subtractive process that actually cuts out a model out of a block of material. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milling_machine
Roland MDX-40A Milling Machine – The Roland MDX-40A is a desktop Subtractive Rapid Prototyping (SRP) system that offers product designers a major value. At less than half the cost of most additive systems, the MDX-40A produces prototypes out of a wide variety of non-proprietary materials with greater precision and better surface finish. The MDX-40A’s compact design makes it a perfect fit for offices and classrooms. http://www.rolanddga.com/products/milling/mdx40/
DIYLILCNC Maker Mill – The DIYLILCNC project is a set of plans for an inexpensive, fully functional 3-axis CNC mill that can be built by an individual with basic shop skills and tool access. The DIYLILCNC can be built for around $700. This cost includes all the stock hardware and sheet material used in construction. – http://diylilcnc.org/
SpacePilot Pro – has a smooth and intuitive 3D navigation is the patented six-degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) sensor. Iit can detect input as small as 4 micrometers (that’s about 1/25 of a human hair!). To operate simply push, pull, twist or tilt the 3Dconnexion Cap to pan, zoom and rotate. QuickView Navigation Keys extend the power of the controller cap by providing one-touch access to 32 standard views enabling users to instantly view models from any angle for improved error detection, design review and design presentation.
